"It's All About Reading" Bookshelf Project
November 8, 2008
November 8 marked Jubilee's 3rd Annual Bookshelf Project in Jubilee Park. The "It's All About Reading" Bookshelf Project is a fun day for children of all ages to paint a personal bookshelf for their home libraries. This year children were also able to make a reading pillow for their "home library" if they already had a bookshelf. Kids register in advance and spend the Saturday in Jubilee Park with their family and volunteers from Saint Michael and All Angels.
This year, we registered over 200 children. We also had 80 volunteers. The park was packed with kids all enjoying a wonderful literacy project, field day games, and a beautiful fall day.
