----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Morning football games, good-bye waves from bus windows on the way to Young Life adventures, Jubilee volunteers everywhere the eye can see, "going green" classes, zucchini and squash snacks from the flourishing community garden, pajama parties, The Dallas Zoo, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, water days and slip'n slides, and The Spy Exhibit at The Museum of Nature and Science...we've had a busy summer here in the Jubilee Neighborhood!
Congratulations to our ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program Intern, Tobin Fulton, who was named "Intern of the Year" for going above and beyond. He contributed a vital piece to our 2009 Summer Enrichment Program "Every Kid Counts". He continued and added to our partnership with Texas Discovery Gardens, teaching "going green" classes and getting the kids involved and interested in the "greener" side of life! Also, thank you to our Summer AmeriCorps Members (Rebekkah, Bianca, Chris, Corrigan, Jasmine and Helen) and to the 82 WONDERFUL volunteers who donated 2,048 hours to the kids in Jubilee's Summer Program; the kids LOVE you and we couldn't do it without you! We can't wait to see you next summer(though we hope we don't have to wait that long)!
