The Needy Family Fund is one arm of Saint Michael and All Angels "Heart of Giving" Program.  From donations, typically raised by Saint Michael parishioners, the Needy Family Fund offers help and aid to parishioners and non-parishioners alike.  Jubilee is lucky to be a beneficiary of this wonderful project.  These funds allow the Jubilee Social Worker to offer some additional help to Jubilee residents.

The primary duty of the Jubilee Social Worker is to serve the community’s needs. Some of the most common needs that the Social Worker faces at Jubilee are financial, hunger, transportation, legal and emotional. Thanks to the Saint Michael’s Needy Family Fund, the Social Worker at Jubilee is able to meet some of the most immediate and critical needs. There was an instance where a family with 5 children was about to have their electricity cut off and all agencies had already fulfilled their financial cap for the month, but with the aid of the Needy Family Fund we were able to help this family get back on their feet.

In addition to providing case management to families at Jubilee, the Social Worker also assists with different educational activities at O.M. Roberts Elementary, our partnering school, as well as providing workshops that address issues on parenting, substance abuse, and health.
