Special Volunteer Days
Alston Bird in Partnership with Home Depot
August 7, 2010
On Saturday, August 7, several volunteers from Alston Bird's Dallas and Atlanta offices came to Jubilee to assist with renovations in the remodeled Teen Center. Two members of the Home Depot flooring department offered a tutorial to the volunteers on how to install the wood flooring and stayed late into the afternoon to help complete the project. The volunteers also picked up trash in and around the park and Resource Center. The volunteers were wonderful, and everyone at Jubilee is looking forward to having Alston Bird and Home Depot become more active in this community!
Double D Ranch
July 23, 2010
On Friday, July 23, Jubilee volunteer and Saint Michael parishioner Mike Davis from Arch Insurance sponsored a trip for over 120 Jubilee children to go on a field trip to the Double D Ranch in Mesquite, Texas. The kids were at the ranch from 9am until 2pm, and they had tons of fun! The older kids were able to play on the paddle boats in the lake, and the younger kids played mini golf, visited the petting zoo, and spent a lot of time running and playing all over the property! Thank you Mike and Arch Insurance!
The Day of Champions sponsored by the Greater Dallas Justice Revival
July 21, 2010
On Wednesday, July 21, 2010, several former NFL and College players and coaches came to Jubilee Park to lead children ages 8 to 18 in a football camp. The camp focused on teaching the kids self-discipline and respect as well as skills to use in various sports. Throughout the day, the children were able to hear stories from the players and coaches of how they overcame the odds to succeed in what they do. The most touching part of the day was hearing the children yell "I CAN!" in unison. Jubilee is so grateful to Saint Michael and The Justice Revival for sponsoring such a wonderful day!
The Dallas Dance Council
June 18, 2010
On Friday, June 18, the Dallas Dance Council came to Jubilee to teach the children in the summer camp about rhythm, dancing, and music. It was so much fun to see the children dance and bang plastic buckets to the beat of the music. Thank you, Dallas Dance Council for coming to Jubilee!
Pricewaterhouse Coopers
June 11, 2010 and June 18, 2010
On Friday, June 11, forty-eight volunteers from Pricewaterhouse Coopers came to Jubilee for their "Day of Giving." The volunteers were split into teams where some landscaped community members' gardens while others helped renovate our house into a teen center. Together, the group lanscaped four yards in the neighborhood, painted six rooms in the house, laid wood-flooring down in two rooms, and even tore down a wall in the kitchen to make the room more open! The volunteers returned on Friday, June 18 to complete the work they had begun the week before. Thank you, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, for doing such an amazing job!
The Associate Producers of The Dallas Summer Musicals
June 5, 2010
On Saturday, June 5 the Associate Producers came to Jubilee to host a field day for the children in the neighborhood while the childrens' parents attended an orientation meeting for the Summer Enrichment Program. Volunteers brought boxes of sidewalk chalk, hoola-hoops, sporting equipment, and water balloons! The children had a blast playing kickball, relay races, water balloon toss, and even a few rounds of "Simon Says!" Thank you, Associate Producers, for helping our children have fun and be safe while their parents were in meetings!

Disney Corporation, "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day"
November 21, 2009
On November 21, Jubilee had a visit from Mickey Mouse and his whole Disney crew. Thanks to the Volunteer Center of North Texas, Jubilee hosted the Disney team and 65 Dallas volunteers to celebrate Disney's "Get a Day, Give a Disney Day" Program. Volunteers painted the Community Center, made Thanksgiving baskets for the community, landscaped and made a "reading nook" for the kids. All volunteers who spent the day at Jubilee, including 15 of our Jubilee teens, received a free pass to one of the Disney themeparks. Thank you Disney and the Volunteer Center for a very memorable day!
Johnson Controls, Inc., July 2009
As a participant in the North Texas Volunteer Challenge, Jubilee hosted Johnson Controls, Inc. They came to work hard, despite of the heat! They cleaned graffiti, helped in the community garden, painting benches "Jubilee" green, cleans the houses inside and out. On Saturday, July 11th more than 200 volunteers came together for a four-hour day of service to lend a helping hand to a dozen nonprofit agencies across the greater Dallas area. It was a great day!

Brinks, Inc., April 2009
Brinks came down on Jubilee like little blessings to do a "Spring Clean" of the neighborhood and paint the outside of our new community center. They left it a white beacon on the corner for all to notice! They worked side by side with Jubilee community members.

McKinsey and Company, June 2008
Volunteers from Mc Kinsey and Company came out to Jubilee and celebrated the summer with the Jubilee kids. There were sno cones, hot dogs, games, a bounce house and water slide. We put some of the volunteers to work painting classrooms at Davids' Place Head Start Center and cleaning alleys in the neighborhood.
To ALL Our Supporters, as always...
