O.M. Roberts Elementary School is part of the Dallas Independent School District and is located only a few blocks from the Community Center.
Once one of the lowest performing schools within DISD, the school struggled under four principals in five years. With strong and consistent leadership, capable teachers, and the work of volunteer tutors, O.M. Roberts has made remarkable gains and achieved Exemplary status in school years 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.

Thanks to funds from the 2008 DISD bond, the building of O.M. Roberts was demolished to make way for a new school building to be completed for the 2013-2014 school year. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new construction occurred May 22nd, 2012. More information on the groundbreaking can be seen here. For the time being O.M. Roberts is operating as a “school within a school” at Eduardo Mata Elementary, which is located at 7420 La Vista Drive, Dallas, Texas 75214. O.M. Roberts can be reached via phone at (972) 749-8700, via fax at (972) 749-8701, or on their website.
